SEV BIA meets with TTC about LRT
TTC officials met recently with the Sheppard East Village board to discuss their plans and to obtain our input about the first of their proposed new Light Rail Transit (LRT) lines – that will run along Sheppard Avenue East, through our BIA area.
This new LRT will link Sheppard East Village with the Sheppard Subway and will provide easy access to our BIA from Don Mills to Morningside.
The new LRT will also intersect, at Markham and Sheppard, with a planned extension
of the existing Scarborough RT. This will provide an easy link between Sheppard East Village and the Bloor/Danforth Subway, as well.
More news about the new LRT line will be available, as TTC plans evolve.
Sheppard East Village is now served by very good TTC bus service on five major roads –
Midland, Brimley, McCowan,
Markham and Sheppard.
