Vehicle Turn Signals in SEV BIA

The LRT will run down the middle of a widened Sheppard Avenue. Tram cars (about twice the size of a streetcar) will use electric power and run on slightly elevated tracks. Cars and trucks will only be able to cross the LRT tracks at turn signals that will be installed at locations along the Sheppard East LRT route.
Access in and out of all driveways and businesses will be by right turn only.

Sheppard East LRT Plan

Sheppard East Village continues to be served by good TTC bus service on five major roads – Midland, Brimley, McCowan, Markham and Sheppard.  The new LRT trams will
be introduced in 2013 and will connect with the buses on the 4 north-south streets.

Sewers and water mains will be replaced and Hydro will move poles to accommodate street widening. Gas, telephone and other utilities will move their assets buried in the boulevards beside the road.

Happening in SEV BIA

As a new BIA, SEV BIA has been involved in a lot of research and planning.
Our initial focus was to identify and promote where Sheppard East Village is situated and to outline the range of goods and services provided by the businesses in our area.
SEV BIA will develop a number of promotions and some local special events - after the Sheppard East LRT construction in our area has been completed.
